Since bursting onto the underground musical landscape in late 2001, Fred Groulx has been one of the most consistent artists ever to come out of Canada. He began his musical journey at a young age, always feeling deep in his heart that this would be his career path. After experiencing all that he could in Montréal's alternative music scene, the multi-talented musician and songwriter fell upon a Paul Oakenfold set which dramatically altered his journey. That set led him to discover, and consequently, research all that the electronic scene had to offer. And as Oakenfold did early in his career, Fred made the jump head-first into his new passion, which led him to totally re-invent himself as an artist. It was then that Max8 was born, taking his name from the maximum pitch of a turntable.
