Midex – born Pavel Belyakov – is one of the most talented artists on the DeepSound Records roster. Virtually unknown before the end of 2008, the native of Uzhno-Sakhalinsk, on the frigid Pacific coast of the Russian Federation, discovered electronic music in the late 1990s, impressed with the fantastic sounds and melodies of progressive and trance. He would soon decide to make music a vital part of his existence, making his first move by purchasing his first set of turntables in 2003. After months of dedicated practice, DJ Midex was born, debuting at a local club in 2004 – never to look back.
